I really enjoyed this movie but I agree with you that the CG didn’t really blow me away and the story I have seen before but it was well acted and enjoyable.

I agree with everything you are saying. The first thing I posted about this movie was that "Fern Gully" and "Dances with wolves" had a baby and this is what it looked like. I was good I am fine with it, but it did not live up to the hipe.

I agree completely with Dumblond.

I saw it in 3D and IMAX. Not much difference except slightly better 3d in IMAX. Not worth the additional $3-$5 in ticket price.

All-in-all a good movie, nothing new here. Great effects and great 3D, but not as ground-breaking as the hype stated.

You may have mentioned this before but did you see the 2D or 3D version? And if you saw it in 3D, did you see it in IMAX?
I also really enjoyed this movie but I agree with you that the CG didn't really blow me away and the story I have seen before (hellooo Ferngully) but it was well acted (Zoe Saldana is a new favorite, especially after this and Star Trek) and enjoyable. I went and saw it in 3D (not IMAX though) and really enjoyed that the 3D wasn't gimicky. It was subtle and really helped to immerse me into Pandora.
