what did you give for art? you've just put "Art - out of 5" you didn't give a score. i assume you put 5 based on your comments underneath. is that right?

Steve, I believe that you convinced me to stay with this book. I had been thinking about dropping it for a while, but your review makes me think I will keep on my list for another issue or two.

I just got mine in the mail on Tuesday. I don't think it's supposed to go out until the 23rd though. I have a subscription so I think I got it a little early. (Which is weird because I thought they usually come a little later.) In a neat turn of events, I think that I actually put the first review of this book online anywhere. I hope I don't get in trouble.

Hey, great review. I had my reservations with Loeb's writing: he seems to be somewhat the "michael bay" of the comic book writers. But this third ish is actually turning out better than I thought. Ed McGuiness' work is impeccable as a slugfest artist, indeed.

However, the cheesy dialogue holds the book back a bit, IMO.

I suspect the Red Hulk is Doc Samson. Re-read the first two and ask yourself how did the good Doctor know the details of the abomination's murder, since he has not demonstrated any detective skills in the past? Just because you have a psychology degree doesn't mean you're Sam Spade. How did the Red Hulk sneak aboard the hellicarrier w/o tripping alarms before ripping through the walls to take down the She-Hulk? That the Red Hulk kept calling A-Bomb "rick" and being identified by that army drone should spell Doc Samson as the secret alter ego.

I haven't thought about that at all. Samson...is the Red Hulk...but in issue 2...I have to go back and look.

Re: Tallkid - I didn't think people actually listened to me with these things. WOW!

I agree with Godless Sodomite, in the scene of the retinal scanning it came to mind the part where samson described perfectly what happened to the Abomination, besides, samson is missing and he has a similar resemblance to the red hulk. By the way, great review

Only Issue 1 was great, but that's it.

And BTW
Bruce Banner can never be imprisoned here on earth with our current technology
a Glass Box with sleepy gas is not enough to hold him
