This week on the podcast we have our usual Heroes and Smallville discussion. There is a bit about the Writers’ Guild strike, and Marvel’s upcoming slate of movie projects.
Here are a few things I realize:
- I call the most recent episode of Smallville “Lara”. It’s really “Wrath.”
- I’m talking kind of fast. At recording time I was hyped up on coffee.
- You’re listening. I really appreciate it.
For more on Smallville, check me out along with Derek on Starkville’s House of El or head over to Kryptonsite.
For more on Hereos make sure you listen to The Tenth Wonder Podcast.

Hey Steve, great podcast as usual, but I continue to think you need a cohost. Still, listening to Geek Out Loud is a highlight of my week.

About your comment on the Biblical names for the Heroes what do you have to say about Sylar whose real name is Gabriel, an Angel…

And another Comment on Heroes comic book names:
The Haitian is “Blackout!” Not because of his race but because when you have gapes in your memory they say you blacked out. And because when an area losses electricity (power) it is called a blackout. The Haitian does both so he should be Blackout!.
Peter is “The Mimic”
Clair is “Eternal Cheerleader”
Sylar stays as Sylar
Parkman is “Scanner” (As in a Police Scanner)
Alajandro and Maya are the “Central American Wonder Twins”
Elle is “Stunner”
Elle’s Dad is “Midas”
DL is Ghost (In more ways then one)
Niki is “Fatal Beuty”
How are these names?
